So, what does everyone think of the statements made by the Pope? Was he a fool for using the quote in the first place? Or a tool for apologizing for his remarks?

The thing that bothers me is that he wasn't smart enough to realize what outrage that comment would cause. His apology doesn't seem sincere, kind of like Mel Gibson apologizing to the Jews, once you say something like that it is hard to take it back.

I still find it hard to believe that anyone listens to a man in a dress teaching them about morality.
