methinks he not so different from many others

I would seriously doubt that he actually believes what he's saying. It seems more likely that the whole spectacle is nothing more than a vulgar money grab. I can't say that I'm surprised he has attracted such a large following, though; I hear that Peter Popoff is still on TV, parting fools from their money, so it's not a large stretch to think that this guy just wants his piece of the pie. It beats working 9 to 5.

Drives a Lexus and wears a rolex... Funny, I never thought of God needing wheels and a watch. It amazes me some people will buy into anything.

Many years ago, I'd watch Dr. Gene Scott on UHF in LA. I loved his honesty. He was always very clear that he was a teacher, and that you were paying for the teaching - a thing of value. And you weren't sending your money to God - you were sending your money to Dr. Scott. And he was smoking fine cigars, buying race horses, valuable books and historical buildings.

My money was liberated from me, but Doc never got any of it!

Funny, I've thought about starting my own church. I figure I don't need too many members, just enough to support my life style and a fan group that bow to me all the time and make me feel important.

Not such a bad thing....

I wonder if I could get Oscar to join????????

That's a helluva idea - I've thought about it every so often - since I first saw Fred G (g for goodness?) Sanford start his own church on "Sanford & Son".
