I love wrens too! A pair of House Wrens had a brood out back last year. Sadly, they got started this year but the wren house was destroyed when the giant shag bark hickory came down on June 29th nearly destroying our house. Pretty sure they're okay as I heard the male singing for weeks afterward. Also we've had some Carolina Wrens from the beginning here. Last time I saw them they brought their whole family by, six birds in all! Great pics too, MM! Keep 'em coming. You've got to check of that iBirds app. It's universal.

Hey MM!
Sorry I've been so slow to reciprocate. I hope you've been doing well and painting your ass off! Also I wanted to say that although I didn't respond, and should have, your post on reincarnation was awesome. I'm in the same camp as you, and have some theories about past lives that would make for great conversation, I think. Also, I need to ask you about framing, if that's okay. Later though.

This one I took myself on the spur of the moment. This was a great year for babies of all kinds.
This is a Red-Bellied Woodpecker Juvenile. A pleasant surprise indeed.

Here's my pride and joy: our breeding Male Eastern Bluebird on his nestbox. Six new Bluebirds this year! Also, a Carolina Wren flew into my garage yesterday while I was talking to my dad. I have a lot of other pictures of the Bluebirds. In one there is a rainbow with the male perched on a fence in the lower right hand corner.
