Post subject:  Building Pyramids

Have you folks seen the videos on http://www.theforgottentechnology.com where a guy named Wallington moves giant (21,600 pound) concrete blocks all by himself? He claims to have re-discovered the techniques the Egyptians used to build the pyramids.

First - WELCOME :D

Where are the documented first hand witnesses?

Thanks for the welcome, Oscar. Interesting folks here.

For Wallington's work, who needs witnesses. Look at the descriptions and videos; it's one of those "duh, it's so simple" ideas. Get the stone on two fulcrums, move a weight so the balance shifts to one, put down another fulcrum, turn the stone, repeat. Walk the stone as far as you want.

I bought his video just to see what else he's done. The shots of him hanging on to a big lever and kicking his feet in the air while two little kids move a 20 ton barn are nice.

I corresponded with him for a while. He says that the bigger the stone the easier it is to get it in balance and ready to move.

This info gives us a good way to test claims of channellers and folks who say they remember past lives in Egypt, too. If they say aliens or Atlantean technology or mysterious powers were used we know they're full of it. If they say a couple of hundred sweaty guys who drank a lot of beer and whistled at the girls we'll know it's the truth.

very interesting. i didn't get to deep into the site but...my question is, does he have an explanation on how they got those big blocks on the tops of those pyramids. and if i'm not mistaken didn't the builders get the blocks from miles away, and have to cross bodies of water?

Interesting. I'll get around to watching it as soon as some kind soul posts a pirated version on Youtube.

Welcome to the forums, by the way, although I myself have been here only a scant few months.

I'd be interested in hearing about that, as well. And does he posit a theory as to how the blocks were quarried?

Oscar: no problem. You did sound like Randi, though. :D

OD, GLOgli: Thanks for the welcome. Yes, he has something he calls the "Egyptian Hoist" and claims the "airshafts" were actually runs for ropes. Nothing about quarrying the stones.

It would be really interesting to jack up one of the stones and see if there are marks from 2 fulcrum points, as there would have to be if his technique was used. Also, when I saw his technique I wondered if the Mason symbology, with 2 pillars supporting the Earth, was the same thing and whether this is one of the big Masonic secrets.
