The United States of Esoterica

We know that Atlantis was a highly advanced civilization . Did they have extraterrestrial origins ? Did they play a role in the building of the Pyramids of Egypt ? Some believe Atlantis is located in the ARCTIC . Is there a connection between Atlantis and the mysterious PIRI REIS map ?
What are your opinions on these thoughts ?

Thanks for the info. I had never heard of this before. So far, I'm a bit skeptical but I need to spend more time looking at the subject. It seems fairly crude to allegedly be from a highly technological source.

Some think that Patagonia fits better than what's been believed about the map. Interesting that the inhabitants of Patagonia are dated from the last ice age around 12,000 BCE. Who knows, maybe even before the last ice age.
Atlantis is a cool subject because it to may have been around before the last ice age. I believe many religious Dogma and mythology stories originated from stories about Atlantis and their inhabitants.

Could Atlantis have been a kind of breakaway civilization of the elites at that time ???
In Carl Sagan's Cosmos series , he spoke of the Greek scientists and philosophers keeping scientific discoveries and ideas from the rest of the people . Sagan was very critical of their behavior .
He believed that it tragically held back human progress for many hundreds of years .

If it's true, we can only wonder about what amazing technology exists today ?
What we are using today is pretty damned amazing already !!!
It's also pretty damned annoying !!! Everyone is in their own world ...especially the children !
