Seriously, if you want to store grain or flour, it will keep indefinitely in the freezer, but needs to be in an airtight container. Whole wheat flour can go rancid in the cabinet- also attracts insects.

Or you can buy nitrogen packed wheat from emergency food suppliers- kind of expensive, but you'll have a reserve for years.
