Caught this short piece on the BBC's 'Today' programme this morning.

Presenter Evan Davies ventured into the woods with author Mark Pilkington and known UFO sceptic (sorry, skeptic if you're the other side of The Pond) Ian Ridpath.

Hopefully the audio is available worldwide - my company IP address originates in France & I managed to listen so hopefully you should be ok elsewhere too.

Cheers,

David.

Sorry, they moved the bloody page not long after I posted the link (start the conspiracy stories now)

try this:

It must be said, it's quite a negative piece on the Rendlesham incident and UFO 'believers' alike - but interesting to hear the topic being discussed on such a prominent programme such as 'Today' nonetheless.

Hope it's of interest anyway,

Cheers,

Dave.

It's really funny when skeptics thought it was the lighthouse beacon.

Quite so - I was under the impression that most of the guys who've spoken out about their experiences over those couple of nights - Col. Halt included - have stated that they saw the lights/craft/whatever in addition to the lighthouse at Orford?

Not saying I staunchly believe one way or the other but if even a fraction of what people such as Jim Penniston, Larry Warren or Charles Halt say is accurate then you can't help but feel that there was more to this than just a lighthouse being spotted through some trees..

So ET's send a probe to Earth to check us out. What's the big deal?

To the likes of you & I, nothing much. Unfortunately to those with more invested in religion, power, control etc. it's a bit more of a problem.

Unsurprisingly, the reaction from those involved at the time has not been favourable:

I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get up to Suffolk to catch some of the 30th anniversary events towards the end of the year - looks like it's going to be a good turn-out.

Yeah, they will never admit that we are being visited. Like they would ever flash a headline that they have a flying disk. Oh, wait, that already happened.
