Was just telling Vaeni about this film. Watched it last night and absolutely loved it. It's from the guy who made Man on Wire.
The gist of the film is that it is a documentary about a project in the 1970's where they raised a chimp as if it was a human baby and tried to teach it sign language and communication. Of course, it being the 70's, things get wild and Nim, the chimp, ends up in some pretty horrific places. Really, really fascinating and powerful film that will have you thinking for quite some time after seeing it.
