Any fans of Bubba Ho-Tep in here?
Been a favorite of mine since it came out.
I think it would be a great movie to be reviewed on the Good Parade.
Tim and JV, have you seen the film?

Thank you for recommending this, Veil. This was a great movie! Lots of laughs with unexpected moments. Real suspense and at the same time poignant with a real message of how our society views seniors. Very deep movie.

I love that movie. It's just great. In fact, it's on netflix streaming.

I can't wait to see John Dies at the End too.

Hey cool. I just looked up the bibliography of the author of the short story the movie was based upon, Joe R Lansdale.

check out the title of one of his stories:

Veil's Visit (includes the eponymous story, written with Andrew Vachss) (1999) (limited edition)

Nice Ghoul!

Thanks for the link. I have wanted to check out more of the Lansdale's work.

Coscarelli also directed the adaption of another one of Lansdale's stories
"Incident On and Off a Mountain Road" for the Master Of Horror series
which was decent.

Veil's Visit That's a creepy coincidence. I'm going to have to try and find that story now :|

I finally remembered my password. Haven't posted on here in months... Anyway, Bubba Ho-Tep is pretty awesome, but I would also recommend some of Bruce Campbell's other films. Everything that guy does is awesome.

"The Man with the Screaming Brain" is good. It is about two men, a business man, and a criminal that get in an accident, and some mad scientist combines both their brains into one body. Hilarity ensues. Think the odd couple in one single body.

My favorite (not including the Evil Dead trilogy) is one called "My Name is Bruce". In this one Bruce plays himself. He is tasked to help some small town to defeat this ancient demon (The Chinese god of Bean Curds) that is plaguing the town. The twist is he thinks it is all fake, so he plays a long. Things get funny when her learns this is all for real.

If you dig on Bubba Ho-Tep, or the Evil Dead movies, I promise you will love these two as well. Maybe Tim and Jeremy can do a whole Bruce Campbell episode some time.
