Looking forward to checking out the new Don Coscarelli film
John Dies at the End starring Paul Giamatti. I loved
Coscarelli's other films Phantasmand Bubba Ho-tep.

"Originally released as an online serial where it
received more than 70,000 downloads, John
Dies at the End
has been described as a
"Horrortacular", an epic of "spectacular" horror
that combines the laugh out loud humor of
the best R-rated comedy, with the darkest
terror of H.P. Lovecraft. The book went on
to sell an additional 60,000 copies in all
formats." Amazon

The book, by author David Wong, has elements
of the paranormal, shadow people, missing time,
Clairvoyance, and extra sensory perception.

The sequel to the book: This Book Is Full of Spiders:
Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It
is coming out on Oct. 2 2012

I "Looked into it" a bit more and it looks like John Dies At The End
will be released VOD in late December, and have a theatrical release in
early 2013. I also learned that Giamatti is producing as well as starring in the film.

John Dies at the End finally gets a freakin distributor. About time, too.

Here's a cool trailer they made for The sequel to the book:

I have a copy of John Dies At The End waiting for me at the local
independent book store. I'm eager to dive into it.

For those interested in checking out the books, they have posted
the first 15 pages of the sequel to John Dies At The End,
which is entitled This Book Is Full of Spiders:Seriously, Dude,
Don't Touch It
.

I read it and it has me pumped to check out both books. Definitely
seems like books that BoA and GP fans could get into.

I just heard about this movie a couple weeks ago and it sounds interesting enough. Don was on the radio here in DFW Thursday promoting this film because it was showing in an historic theater in Dallas. It's the theater where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested.
