After 3 episodes, I give this show a high recommendation.

It's on MTV and may be the best program they've developed in years (though that's no tall order).

Anyway, it's about a "famous puppet" trying to make a comeback after a tailspin of drugs, alcohol, and sex addiction. Fucking hilarious.

I know there's some douchebag named the Situation, and that's FAR, FAR too much information I want to know about that show.

It's one of those rare shows that was so terrible that it was a classic. Every season that follows will be a shallow facsimile of the original.

Warren the Ape sounds awesome. Is there a certain night to catch it?

When it comes to previous deviant puppet incarnations, there was a faux Behind The Music with the muppets' house band I remember seeing that depicted the rise and fall of the group. Animal was dead, the blond chick had AIDs, etc.

Then there's Peter Jackson's Meet The Feebles which took puppet depravity to a whole new level. Classic.

Agreed JBoston, Jersey Shore was hillarious. One problem with MTV doing more seasons of it, is that the cast have been made into celebrities. The pickle the network is in, is that if they do a rotating cast like the (un)Real World, the new kids will try to top the old ones and probably be terrible. But, by bringing back the originals, they are self-aware pseudo celebs who will not act natural in front of the cameras (which was their strenghth) yet it helps the brand overall.

I think MTV probably replays it a lot, but new episodes premiere Monday nights @ 10:30.

You can catch all the episodes OnDemand if your cable has MTV OnDemand (mine does, Comcast)

Great stuff! Thanks for the recc.

I love how it skewers the whole "documented" comeback blueprint that former stars are employing as they get paid for cleaning up their lives on TV. Props to Viacom or whoever the overlord is, for not freaking out about dinging their VH1 cottage industry product.

OK, this is my breakout hit (for me) of the summer. Tim, you rock.

The "Scared Straight" episode where he abducts the junior high class for a field trip of the streets is some of the funniest shit I've seen in my life.

I think that's in my all-time top five of funniest tv episodes ever, I was crying watching it.

Glad you've taken a liking to the Ape. It really is a great show. I hope MTV doesn't fuck it up too bad.

Have you seen this week's episode yet?

Bad Fo Po was fucking awesome (like Rambo starring Warren) and his fight at AA with the guy who lost his job was insane.

I saw the gay episode and loved it. How about that scene on the float at the end? What a way to be outed, so to speak.

I don't think I've seen that one yet, I'll keep checking the ondemand. Just from scanning the digital guide, I can't find it anywhere except on Mondays. No wonder that channel is clinging to Jersey Shore and The unReal World as life rafts in the sea of relevance.

Bad Fo Po should be OnDemand soon.

I also gotta mention Warren's assistance Cecil. Those two together are fucking awesome. His desperation to win Warren's approval, combined with Warren's indifference/abuse cracks me up every time.

Aside from Cecil sneaking the Tequila into rehab, this week's episode was probably the weakest one so far.

Next week's show, where Warren starts his own version of AA, sounds fucking awesome.

Have you seen "Bad Po Fo" yet, LoneGunman? I'm sure it must be OnDemand by now.
