It truly is the end of an era. It's weird to think that the old veteran of late night is now Conan O'Brien and it gets scary when you realize he has been on for over 20 years. Time really does fly.
Like most people, I kind of checked out on Dave in recent years, but I got back into the show this year, since it was the end. There were real remnants of Carson in his style and you don't see that almost anywhere anymore.
I'm thinking of when Bill Murray was on the 2nd to last show and Dave slyly put the cap back on the vodka. Anyone else would have made a big show of it, but he just kind of deadpanned it. Great stuff.
If there was ever a WWE Network style thing of Late Show episodes, I'd throw some money towards it just to dig around in that huge archive.
