Which was the better album? I think Pyromania, cos they still had the influence of Pete Willis, and I can remeber buying Hysteria and just choking on how terrible it sounded.

Hysteria for me.

You couldn't listen to the radio for like 3 years without hearing a song from that album in heavy rotation.

Hysteria, hands down. The big, textured sound on that album really pushed the audio envelope and even today, most of it does not sound dated.

Also the song quality, you can go A side to B side on that tape (yes, I said it) and I dare you to find many if any, weak links.

Pyromania is good, but the band hit its zenith on Hysteria. Unfortunately, there was a steep drop in quality after that. Let's Get Rocked or whatever was radio-pandering tripe in a time the rest of us were moving onto grunge/alternative in the mainstream.
