Has anyone heard of this new genre of music? It's a mixture of rap ("gangsta") and bluegrass ("grass")... gangstagrass.

If you've watched the show "Justified" on FX, the opening theme song is an example of this, called "Long Hard Times to Come". Actually, the genre has really only been accomplished by a band called "Gangstagrass," the band of the "Justified" opening theme song, which is where the genre name came from.

I've heard only some on some websites, besides the TV show, but I'm really enjoying it so far. You wouldn't think that two traditionally polar opposite genres could be mixed, but this works. You can hear the authentic bluegrass in it, which I like. The "twangy" instruments / music, the kind of "down-to-earth" and "real world" lyrics, which can be seen in both rap and bluegrass / country (though usually of different subject matter), and the raping go great together.
