New Dylan album, 'Tempest,' due out on 9/11, 50 years to the day since his 1st album was released. Also, Bob just announced details on the Autumn leg of his tour, and this time it is with Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits fame. I think I will be going to the Boston show in November, since I'm a huge fan of Dire Straits and seeing Knopfler and Bob would be amazing.

Haven't gotten tix to Dylan in Boston yet, but picked up Tempest yesterday and, having only given it a cursory listen, can say that it is already pretty fucking great.

There is a 14 minute song about the Titanic on there. I've only heard half of that and so far it is quite good.

This really feels like an album that will require multiple listens over many, many months to really soak in.

Also, Dylan is on the cover of the new Rolling Stone and, in the cover story interview, says the 'motherfuckers' who called him Judas in the 60's can rot in hell. Gotta love the scraggly old man.

You might find the the documentary "Searching for Sugar Man" of interest.
It's about a guy named Sixto Rodriguez. Some have referred to him as the Dylan of Detroit.
