It's already started here on the Oldies station. I think they started it on Nov. 1st. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Some days, the right song will come on and I will be all about it. Other times, I'll be driving around looking for something good to listen to and will shake my fist because they are playing some crap.

Anyone else got Xmas music on the radio already?

I haven';t heard it on the radio, then again I just listen to talk radio. However, I have already begun watching my Christmas specials on DVD. I never can get enough of Mr. Magoos Christmas Carol, the Alister Simms Christmas Carol, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph and finally, Santa Conquers the Martians.

Not sure when Sirius XM starts their Christmas channel, but I don't think its this early.

I can't do Christmas right now, other than getting some shopping done. The day after Thanksgiving I get into full on Christmas mode, but not before.

I do love that Thanksgiving basically doesn't exist anymore, though. Christmas stuff starts going up in stores and showing up on TV about a week before Halloween. It's insane.

It's sneaking up on us this year. It's almost Turkey Day.

I did hear one on the "lite rock and less talk" FM station- not the continuous "sound of the season" rotation yet, thankfully.

What's your favorite "alternative" song? I like "Father Christmas" by the Kinks!

Can I ask why the hell you're even turning on the oldies station in the first place?

lol, my radio has like 12 pre-sets. And I'm always looking for that next song that will spark a potential BoA:Audio theme song, so my pre-sets are a mix of all different types of genres.

In my family, we always broke out the Christmas albums on November 1 and I've carried on that tradition. There are two radio stations here that start playing Christmas music sometime in the beginning of November. Of course Costco seems to have Christmas decorations out by August these days.
