What did you all think of this year in music? I found it generally lacking, but with a couple real gems nonetheless.

Portishead's "Third" absolutely takes the prize as my favorite of 2008, and Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds "Dig Lazarus Dig" comes in at a very, very distant second.

A little late, but this side of the forum doesn't seem very active.

An underrated album. Shouldn't have taken 14 years to get done though.

No, probably not. Something I read recently said the album was finished in 2002, but when they brought in Roy Thomas Baker to produce, he made them re-record a lot of finished material.
