This is without any doubt, the prettiest song I've ever heard. I'm a grown middle-aged fart and it still rips tears. What a talent.

Great song. If you search "George Carlin Michael Jackson" on Youtube, you'll get a piece that Carlin recorded about MJ being the best entertainer ever and gives reasons why. Great observations.

ok, i'll admit it...he was a decent performer. i watched the thriller video yesterday and it was pretty good. but this was back before he went strange on us. after he bleached his skin and became fascinated with the elephant man's remains he just wasn't the same. during the days of thriller he was normal. that's when i can say he had magic.

I have a hard time with what he became as well. He seemed to be two different people. Watch some vids of his concerts, and live performances, even those only a few years ago. He knew how to entertain. But once the curtains came down, he was weird and strange.

Here's a link to the George Carlin spot.

Never thought I'd be saying this, but Carlin is right.

All of those white stiffs were lame. What MJ did beyond his music was make it ok for blacks and whites to have a common ground. Yeh...it sounds weird, but I was able to get a ride home from a bunch of sisters by singing "Got to be there" If that is not progress on the racial front, I don't know what is....but it is because of MJ that we are having a dialogue now. I would have loved to include Prince in this conversation, but the guy weirded out even quicker than Mike.....so yes, while it might have pained me in the 80's, when I was into Iron Maiden and Twisted Sister, Michael Jackson was indeed the "King of Pop" and not even Elvis can take that from him. For moving the nation further (the man stood in the same garden as Ronald Reagan) there is no other who did more.

I wonder if I had that much fame and fortune how weird I might get. Since Tim has the highest probability of finding such fortune and fame, we'll have to see how he turns out!
