Unbelievable how fast time goes by ! I'm 40yrs old,I was only 11yrs old when it happened back in 1980 .
He was only 40 ,my age at this moment, which makes it all the more tragic to me. When you hit 40, you realise it is still pretty young !!
I only became a fan after he passed when I really listened started to listen to the music . How much more would he have accomplished if he lived ? We could only wonder .
The greatest mystery to me is what he saw in Yoko ???? :? Oh well, RIP John. Thanks for the music !!! :D

And to make it sadder, he not only put out the best album of his career, but he was talking with Paul about patching the Beatles back together. We got robbed big time.

I was stationed in Germany at the time and had a roommate (a huge Lennon fan) who took it really hard.
My roommate`s name was Mike Chapman.

While the passing of Lennon is sad indeed, most people forget, or the news fails to mention is that date is also the same date that Dimebag Darrell was murdered on stage. For me, and many kids growing up in the early 90's that were into metal, he was like our John Lennon.

Mental note. If I ever find myself in the position of the worlds biggest rock star, I am never leaving the house on December 8th EVER!!!!
