i'm reading portrait of a killer by patricia cornwell. according to cornwell she has the jack the ripper case all figured out. it is a great book and she makes a lot of connections that really make sense. is this guy really jack the ripper? anyone else ever read this book? she might make a great guest on coast.

I read it a long time ago, I remember thinking it was good, but not "case closed". I came across this Ripper book at the used bookstore today, didn't buy it but I might go back and get it.

I read it a number of years ago. I agree with Area 51. She makes some intriguing analysis, but does not close the case imo.

I haven't read it yet, but I remember when it first came out I saw a documentary or something where she laid out her whole scenario and it seemed compelling.

it is compelling but i agree with afeent1 and area51 she does not close the case.
