I don't really follow NCAA Football (or any NCAA stuff), so I'm thoroughly confused by all of this re-alignment.

In the end, if this leads to an NCAA Football Playoff, I'm all for it.

It's looking like we'll end up seeing like 4 conferences of 16 teams, which will probably be for the best.

there will be no incentive to have a playoff if this realignment goes through. just a some superconferences raking in all the dough.

I agree that it appears to be more about creating a "superconference" than anything to do with being fan-friendly. Change can be a good thing but for the schools that are on the outside looking in it appears pretty grim.

It's all about the money - and no playoff will come from it which is fine by me. (That's right, I'm the butthole who doesn't want the playoff. )

It reminds of the old College Football Association where the Bear, among many others, lead an effort which tried to break away from the NCAA. Too late for that to happen now. The super-conference idea of it can be seen here, but the sad part it the NCAA is going to be involved.
