Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill as well as Shelton Benjamin, Funaki, Slam Master J (Ray Gordy), Jimmy Wang Yang, and Mike Knox

Surprised to see Mickie James & Shelton Benjamin get released. I expect them both to go to TNA as soon as they can. The rest, I am kind of nonplussed about.

Funaki had been on the roster for a decade straight. That's insane. I was listening to Lance Storm talk about him the other day and he said the reason he always avoided cuts was that he was the ultimate utility guy, especially on the house show circuit and in tryout matches against new talent. Still, guess time caught up with him.

I wasn't as shocked with Mickie James as some were. The writing had been on the wall for several months now, from her getting shipped to Smackdown to the "Piggy James" angle. They thought she was overweight, didn't like her dabbling outside of wrestling by getting her degree and pursuing music, and the women's divisions are both complete jokes right now, so there was little incentive to keep her around, especially when they can plug in another talentless bottle-blonde with a bad boob job for half the price.

Benjamin had done all he could do for them. He's got insane physical gifts, but seems to have little interest in pushing himself to the next level. For years now people have been waiting for him to break through, but he just can't.

The others are useless talent or jobbers that don't shock me at all.

I'd like to see his Terry Gordy's son land somewhere else.

But please drop the white rapper gimmick.

The rest, who cares.
