I called it, lol !

Whodathunk a Texas Rangers v. SF Giants match-up in the World Series? Really psyched to see a couple of 'underdog' teams make it all the way. Should be a great series, especially Lee v. Lincecum.

I think having smaller teams make it to the World Series is ultimately good for the game of baseball (not necessarily the ratings for the World Series, but whatever...). I find it way more interesting than yet another Yankees appearance.

Not the Braves, never the Braves for me. I still hate them for trading Murphy to Philly where he had a career ending knee blow out that left him at 397 HR and kept him from the HOF.

Interesting and serious talk of expanding the MLB playoffs in 2012 and shortening the regular season: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5728656

2 events of import:

1. I received 2 checks today from Boston totaling a bit over $4,300. Cool beans.

2. My younger sister (yes, SISTER) managed to snag 6 tickets at work to the game Saturday night.

This looks to be a good weekend. Dudes, my ass is so going to Arlington Saturday! 8)

Cliff Lee got abused. That was just ugly for the Rangers tonight.

Apparently the Rangers' bullpen has collectively forgotten where the strike zone is. What an implosion.

Worked okay last night, I was in the nosebleed seats behind first base. Pretty hammered, too. First world series game ever played in the Ballpark, had to go!

Congrats, buddy. Enjoy the celebration.

Condolences to Lynxster. Don't worry, bud, I've a feeling that the Rangers are going to be in contention for quite a while.

Derek Jeter, perhaps the WORST DEFENSIVE SHORTSTOP IN BASERBALL this season, won a GOLD GLOVE for defensive play.

Baseball sucks, and here's just one more reason why.

Good to see you back on the boards, MM. Now go harass Cliff Lee's wife so that he doesn't sign w. the Spankees.

C'mon MM. You can be the biggest Yankee apologist in the world -- actually you probably are -- but it is impossible to actually defend Jeter getting a gold glove after the season he had in the field.

He was beyond awful. He was a defensive liability.

It's a black eye on the sport for him to accept it.
We're not talking a corner outfield spot.
This isn't a stupid All-Star spot.

If you win a Gold Glove at shortstop you damn well better deserve it.
Jeter doesn't.
