Yes, my friends, it's time for the most hotly contested BoA contest of them all ... the MLB Predictions contest for 2010. I suspect we'll have even more of a turnout this year, so good luck to all who enter.

For the killjoys who may want to enter but don't want to join the forum, you can email your picks to me here: tbinnall@hotmail.com

Some rules & prize info ...

    * You only get credit for exact picks (i.e. if you pick the Mets for NL East and they win NL Wildcard, you get no points for that). However, in the event of a tie, such transposed picks will be used as tiebreakers.

    * After last year's stunning victory by MM, we're instituting an additional prize: usofe champion wins the right to appear on the 2011 edition of the Baseball Special as a guest. Note, winner of this prize may opt out if they don't want to appear on the show.

    * So ... winner gets a shout-out on BoA:Audio, bragging rights for one year, and a spot in the BoA Hall of Champions. usofe winner gets a spot on the 2011 special. If the usofe winner's points exceed the BoA:Audio winner's points, that person will earn the sole claim to the BoA Baseball League title (after this year's controversial Loren Coleman v. MM debate).

    * Deadline to enter is Sunday, April 11th, 2010 ... extended for any latecomers who wish to join up after hearing the baseball special.

Also, feel free to discuss others' picks here in this thread, but let's keep all discussion of the ongoing 2010 MLB season in the official thread for that, which can be found here.

And now ... make your picks ...

AL Wildcard: Minnesota Twins

NL East: Florida Marlins
NL Central: St Louis Cardinals
NL West: Los Angeles Dodgers

I just think the Phillies and Yankees'll be tired. I think the Red Sox will be unable to score. This will leave the door open for a couple of teams that have been kicking themselves for missed opportunities.

Greg Bishop has recovered enough to tape a mini-interview for the Baseball Special tomorrow night, so we'll have his picks soon.

The odd thing is that Dolan seemed to equate MM being a yankee fan with being a knowledgeable baseball fan.

And while MM definitely knows his baseball -- one could argue that he's a rarity among Stinkee fans.

Yeah, I was surprised to see no Yankees in Greg's predictions. But, anything's possible.
