Was thinking of doing a weekly pick 'em contest, where, each week, we'll post the week's match-ups and then people can pick the winners. The scores will be cumulative throughout the season. No over/under or spread stuff, just outright winners / losers.

Here's the match-ups for Week One:
Quote:
THU, SEP 9
Minnesota @ New Orleans

SUN, SEP 12
Carolina @ NY Giants
Atlanta @ Pittsburgh
Cleveland @ Tampa Bay
Denver @ Jacksonville
Indianapolis @ Houston
Miami @ Buffalo
Detroit @ Chicago
Oakland @ Tennessee
Cincinnati @ New England
Arizona @ St. Louis
San Francisco @ Seattle
Green Bay @ Philadelphia
Dallas @ Washington

MON, SEP 13
Baltimore @ NY Jets
San Diego @ Kansas City

Setup a group on Yahoo and I'll join. You can set the NFL one up to be a straight up pick and not use the spread or their crappy confidence point system. Don't know squat about the NFL, don't follow it at all, but I'll play in a pick 'em group.

Why can't you just play on here?!

I'm lazy and I suspect that the others won't be interested in going through the hoops of a yahoo group. Just my 2 cents. Let's see what the others have to say. If we get like 3 to 5 people, then I'll do it.

Because I'm fat and lazy, and I should be able to just add another group and export my picks to it without having to cut and past and such.
Still, I'll probably play either way.

Side note: I know the first week is over, but I already have a college pick 'em on Yahoo - if anyone wants to play send me a PM and I'll give you the info to join.

Nice. Thanks for participating !

Anyone who missed Thursday's game, you can still join it, since it is only one game. I think, over the course of the season, it will be pretty meaningless.

Will post my full picks later tonight.

RSS's Detroit Lions got screwed with that end zone call today.

Will post the scores, through Sunday, for Week One later. It's fairly even across the board so far.

Dallas losing the game they way they did was truly hilarious and awesome. As a lifelong Cowboys hater, it brings joy to my heart to see them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like that. I wonder if Alex Barron got to get on the plane home, or if Jerry Jones made him walk back to Dallas.

The media having their head up Jones and the Cowboy's asses is nothing new, but all this talk of them having a "home" Super Bowl is totally unearned. They looked awful.

Not to mention that Roy Williams hasn't done jack shit for them since getting traded from the Lions (wow did the Lions make out in that deal).

He finally does something to help them win a game and, oops they lose.

Week One results --

Binnall - 12-4
Vamp Elvis - 11-5
Orpheus - 10-6
RSS - 9-7

Lemme know if I made any mistakes, but I'm about 95% sure that these are accurate scores.

Will post Week Two match-ups later this week.
