I'll admit it, I've got Olympic fever. It felt like a rash at first, but then it turned into something magical.

And, perhaps the greatest Olympics news that I have heard yet ... per NBC's official Olympic website -- Fred Roggin will reprise his role as studio host of curling for his fourth consecutive Winter Olympics at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Oh, fuck, yes.

Just checked the NBC TV schedule and it looks like curling is getting a more high profile spot this year. It appears that, generally speaking, you'll be able to see curling from 5 to 8 PM (ET) on CNBC.

There's also a decent share of late night curling, but it all starts at like 3 or 5 AM. So, Curling After Dark will return, but they've given it an awful slot. I much preferred the 11 PM or midnight spot they had it in during the last Olympics when it became my cult favorite sport (thanks in large part to Roggin's infectious personality).

Anyway, should be a fun Olympics provided no crazy Russian assholes blow anything up.

Complete TV schedule in more digestible form than the shit on the NBC site: http://www.nj.com/olympics/index.ssf/2014/01/winter_olympics_2014_complete.html

I checked in on this about three weeks ago and while Roggin is fantastic news, not all news is good.

The queen of curling did not qualify for Canada. I can only hope Sweden makes up for this monumental loss.

That floor projection thing they did was pretty cool, however those sideline dancers during the intro of the country's really stole the show. :D

Yowza! It's probably sacrilege or treason, but I think I may have to cheer for the Russian ladies curling team this year ...

I'll continue to root for Canada and the Swedes.
That gal will be in a bread line in 10 years.

Not if I import her to America as my wife, RSS.

Anyway, these Olympics seem even more boring than usual this time around. The lack of true Curling After Dark has left me wanting. Sad that the most exciting part of the Olympics this year has been watching Bob Costas slowly go blind each night.

I haven't been able to watch an alternative to NBC yet.

And I don't really want to watch anything NBC has on prime time, because it's all syrupy goo.

Just watched that game too. Kind of a heartbreaker. I guess US women are out now.

The schedule sucks this year. Wish curling was on at midnight or 1 AM like it was in 2010. That year was the best.

Hated the u.s team. The skip was kind of a turd. No accountability. She had the smarmy, don't ask me anything negative vibe.
