Uh oh, MM, a sign of things to come ...

Quote:
Johnny Damon had a home run and two RBIs, and Ryan Raburn went 4 for 4 with two doubles in leading the Detroit Tigers to a 6-2 victory over the New York Yankees in a matchup of split squads Saturday. ...

Damon hit a solo homer off Sergio Mitre to spark a three-run fifth. The Tigers also scored three times in the second off Yankees starter Chad Gaudin.

Damon will punish your beloved Spankees every time they face off. Good luck !

Yesssss ... Red Sox set their rotation today for the beginning of the season:

Beckett
Lester
Lachey
Wakefield ~!
Buchholz

Very happy to see Wake get not only a spot in the rotation (which he richly deserves), but a good 4 spot as well. I knew that scrub Dice K wouldn't be ready anyway.

So it will be Beckett v. Sabathia on Opening Night. Let's hope, for your sake, MM, that Lardo Sabathia is in good shape, lol.

Almost time to start the official 2010 Baseball Season thread.

Granderson is pretty good. I'd have to see what the Yankees gave up for him, but it was probably a good move for them, since I presume they needed a lead-off hitter w. Damon gone.

They gave up Austin Jackson,Coke and Ian Kennedy . They need another starter !!!! Don't you think his on-base is too low to lead off ?

lol, this trade looks hilarious tonight.

Nah, A-Rod has a few more years left in him. It's just he's Mr. April. Always has been, always will be. When October rolls around he goes into hibernation or something.
