Someone called my house last night, claiming that BoA had been hacked and was "feeding viruses."

This is the first I've heard of this and everything seems to be running fine on my end. We did have some issue last week when we ran the Dylan homepage, but that problem was taken care of later that day.

Anyway, is anyone having any trouble getting to BoA or getting any weird effects from visiting the site?

Other than headaches and sore eyes from being up all night, I haven't had any side effects from the site. All clear on my end!

I still can't get to the baseball show. It keeps taking me to Tracy Twyman.

That's an issue w. the audio. It will be fixed soon. I'm looking, more specifically, at any problems w. the homepage. Thanks for the input, guys !

yeah, there's still some issues going on.

Norton has been blocking the intrusion attempts for something called nutr1.com.

As soon as I get to the BoA front page -- before logging on -- i get a warning from Norton saying an intrusion was blocked. It started happening with the Dylan p hoto and has c ontinued ever since.

I use Firefox and the intrusion seems to be trying to come through there. Perhaps those who don't use Firefox aren't affected. Or if they don't have Norton or something else they don't know it is affecting them.

My Norton doesn't do ANYTHING when I go to BOA (except maybe roll its eyes)...

and it usually jumps right up and lets me know about intrusions.

Do you use firefox? I do. Perhaps that is part of the issue. Maybe the intrusion is only coming in by way of firefox?

I use Firefox for certain sites (Like Paratopia, because if I use IE there, I can't pause the show, I can in Firefox)

But, I use IE for BOA. YKWIM? ASAP. LOL.

I'm using Firefox as well. It's probably coming through some third-party code you have on your page, like RSS feeds or advertising or tracking code or whatever. I remember this same thing happening on Stan Friedman's website.

Okay, I just removed what appears to be the offending code. Please let me know if this problem persists. Thanks !

Tim,

Any update on when episode archive will be available for download again? I am one that likes to go back and listen to the episodes a 2nd or even a 3rd time. I download the mp3 or lately use itunes and neither has been workable for the last 3 weeks or so.

It's a testament to the show that the shows stand up to repeat listenings.

Yesterday, I had adobe auto launching when I checked the site but that seems to be fixed.

Thanks!

Doug

We're at about 90% as far as uploading all the episodes. I believe we have about 15 more episodes, total, until the complete archive is up @ CyberEars.

From there, it's just a matter of fixing the iTunes feed, which shouldn't take but a few minutes, and then going back and fixing the links on all the BoA:Audio pages, which will take a few hours, but much less time the project, as a whole, has taken.

For those who may think that BoA is nearing its demise, I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but we've already taped one new interview this month and have 5 new interviews scheduled for June, plus two more waiting confirmation on the date/time. So, when it's all said and done, we'll have taped 8 new shows in June. We're not going anywhere, folks.

8) 8) 8) Glad to hear BoA is on firm footing.

(And glad to report there's no longer any virus warnings popping up through Norton).

Thanks, RSS. Until we know for sure that the threat has been eliminated, I'm asking that you please act as one of our first lines of defense and keep me posted if anything weird comes up at the site. Same goes for the rest of you guys who have helped us fix this mess.

Works now for me also - I no longer receive the virus warning.
