Passing this on for Nancy Birnes:

Quote:
Bill has just finished filming for Season 3 and I don't know if there will be a Season 4. Maybe you -- plus some pals -- can write to the network and let them know you would like to see more episodes:

http://www.history.com/global/feedback/ ... twCode=THC

or you can sign a petition:

http://www.petitiononline.com/uf0hunt/petition.html

Either way, it can't hurt, and it just might help!

Keeping hope alive!

Thanks!

nb

I signed it. I hope it stays on, Bill has really done some nice things with the show once it got past the first awkward season. For us in the hardcore audience, it still can improve. But to have a show on such a high-profile station is important to the cause.

Tim put it best on his year-end review of 2008: "A rising tide lifts all ships."

I signed the petition, if nothing else to keep the ufo discussion in the mainstream.

I signed it when it first started going around a few weeks ago.

Hopefully it helps and UFOH can move forward w. another season.

I would say as far as episodes I really liked, I thought Stevensville, TX was done really well and not too long after the incident happened (relatively). Also I dug the Area 51, Needles and Aurora shows. Chicago was meh.

Any news on UFOH? It's been a month since the petition started going around.

We have over 4000 signatures, but still not a peep from official sources on whether or not they have decided to let it return. For some reason, they are also holding the last 4 episodes of season 3 until July and running Ice Road Truckers instead. I don't know the actual ratings for UFO Hunters and remember it was up against Lost all season, but I bet they were still better than Ice Road Truckers.

Yeah, I don't know much about IRT either. It did appear, from the ads & cut-ins for IRT that I've seen so far, that they are trying to build around "characters" more on the show now. That may have always been how it is, but I never noticed it before in the ads like I have this season.

IRT seems to be slightly better than Axe Men, but I don't like either. The only other HC show I like is Cities of the Underworld.

Ice Road Truckers is way more more entertaining than UFO Hunters, and it pains me to say that.

The show has revolved around two drivers, Hugh "the Polar Bear" Rowland and another guy named Alex, two old warhorses of the ice roads. I met the Polar Bear last year at a NASCAR race and he's even more entertaining in real life.

This season, they've upped it a notch by going to a more dangerous setting, instead of driving over frozen water, the season 3 road is a more treacherous drive.

Season 3 opener for IRT was viewed by 3 MILLION according to Nielsen. Doubt UFO hunters could touch that.

I'd rank them this way:
Deadliest Catch 100
IRT 80
UFO Hunters 40
Ax Men 25
Heroes 0

I think those are all shows that would appeal to lots of men, but not me. What HC needs is some fashion divas!

I've noticed that on my digital cable, UFO Hunters is no longer offered On Demand. :x

Hopefully this isn't a harbinger of further things...

The latest I heard from Bill is that the final 4 episodes of season 3 will be aired in the Fall sometime. Still no word on whether the show will return for another season. The only thing I can figure is that HC is waiting to see the ratings on those episodes before they decide to keep or cancel the show.
