I'm currently fighting a suspected case of the swine flu. Hopefully this means I wont need the vaccine.

Ah, gotta love fox news. as it it turns out, they were wrong. (i can hear the conspiracy theorists now, saying that the children actually did not get the shots).

Malia, 11, and Sasha, 8, received the shots last week when the vaccine became available to schoolchildren in the Washington, D.C., area, said Katie McCormick Lelyveld, spokesman for first lady Michelle Obama."

If what I had really was H1N1, it was totally weak sauce.

My chest burned like crazy and I ran a decently high fever...but 2 days of bed rest and I was golden.

Yes, that sounds like Swine Flu...

Of course if you had a heart condition, or some other major underlying condition and died while you had it, you'd have made the news as a victim of swine flu.

This is typical scare tactics to drive corporate profits. I've head reports of $25-$65 per dose. Multiply that by the 300 million ordered up and someone is making an assload of money.

If this wasn't a money making scheme, they could have put it in with the regular seasonal flu vaccine that already covers several strains. But why would you want to do that when you can package it separately and double your profits?

My cousins got H1N1 on a cruise (they were tested), and they didn't get particularly sick at all.

It's a joke that's another scare-tactic control grab.

just heard that the local children's hospital is banning anyone under 18 from visitng the sick children because of h1n1.

they said they'll make exceptions for gravely ill children.

other hospitals are expected to follow suit now.

I remember having my parents take me to a friends house who had Chicken Pox. I also got chicken pox and I thought i was going to die. But I got better. What ever happened to letting the child get sick to build his/her resistance towards the bug. Instead we want to take a series of shots chopped full of all kinds of bad things. Now they are coming out saying if you get Guillain-Barré syndrome its not the fault of the vaccine but its your genes that is the problem. Im fucking serious they are printing papers in Reuters, Telegraph, Fox, MSNBC telling people that alot of people will get sick after taking the vaccine but its not the vaccines fault. Its your GENE's, Unbelievable!

That's actually (or used to be) pretty common among parents who wanted their kids to get it over and done with (especially based on the rationale that the older you are when you get it the worse it is). My mom tried it with me several times, but I never caught it. My brother did, though.

I did that too and Im glad I did. Chicken pox when your older is a lot worse, and honestly i think i felt bad for a day, while i was off school for a week. It was nice.

I got chicken pox -- and without my parents sabotaging me.

But didn't get the mumps or measles -- and thanks to mom and dad for not sabotaging me with those. I'll take my changes of going through life without either one.

Ron Paul was awesome on Larry King. they brought him on to be the counterpoint against Michael Moore, but it turned out great because he ripped the corporations that are controlling everything and then managed to get in a couple shot in about the H1N1 shots, saying that the distribution of them is screwed up and nobody has proven they're even neeeded.



he also said to "quit this militarism around the world" and bring our troops home.

everything he says just makes way too much sense.
it saddens me that Paul isn't the president, but I did my part to make it happen.

Its so sad that one person out of the entire congress and senate has the balls to say and do the way he knows to be true.
