I know K-man has it and I just DL'd it today. So far I like it a lot more than the first 360 version. The different play modes keep it from getting stale as quickly as the original, and I really dig the way they did the multipliers, too. Seems that by picking them up yourself instead of randomly giving them to you makes you take chances you wouldn't in the first one.

So anyone else besides K-man and myself playing it? If so what are your thoughts?

I like the Pacifism mode the best, followed closely by Waves.

Quite the hypnotic game, too...especially when you've got 4 people playing coop. Screen looks like a seizure waiting to happen.

Nope, too busy playing EVE online and beta testing C&C Red Alert 3.

I don't even know what Geometry Wars 1 is.

Holy hell...a fellow EVE player? My account has been inactive for close to a year now, but that's cool that someone else here dug it.

I like the game, except for how long it takes to train skills and during large PVP battles their is a huge amount of lag time.

Ultimately I just couldn't adapt to the slow pace of the game. Still, I love the imagery, music, and concept. I try to follow the story line even though I'm not playing.

Faction Warfare was a great addition by the CCP. It is a great way to get large groups of people working together. However, they did not make adjustments for the lag all of those people in one system causes.

Geometry Wars gives me a massive headache. Way too much color and shape stimulation at once going on. I do think it's a cool example of how you can still use relatively old school mechanics and gameplay with a modern twist, though.

If that gives you a headache, do not ever try Space Giraffe LOL
