IGN (you can't spell ignorant without IGN!) gave this game a 5.7. I went ahead and picked it up yesterday. Damn! They couldn't be more off if they re-reviewed GTA IV and gave it another 10.

This game is fun. Period.

Finally they give us a comic book adaptation of Spidey that doesn't suck! The graphics are great, the story is pretty cool, the fighting system is awesome. You actually feel like Spidey and his animations help a lot with that immersion.

For those that played it, imagine Spider-Man 2 with bumped up graphics, a better story and no chasing after balloons. Plus the way the game is set up, you can make the chice to be either good or bad depending on if you use the classic suit or the Symbiote, a click of the left analog stick changes your costume on the fly for some kick ass combos. (classic is quicker with more agility based moves, the symbiote is more of a ground and pound tank)

So far I've noticed that the citizens love you when you're in the red and blue, but call you monster (among other things) in the symbiote.

Anyway, give it a rent or whatever. I'm really digging it, plus it can't be worse than the Iron Man and Superman Returns games.

Gamespot gave it a much more favorable review than IGN.

I'll get around to checking it out, but right now I'm dealing with Fable 2 and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Then when I'm done with these, I'm probably going to pick up Dead Space. Oh, and Fallout 3.

So many good games released in the span of a month.

It's a great season for gamers. Unless you just have a Wii.
