Yes, kids, the contest that began six months ago is coming to a close ! Who will win BoA's most hotly contested showdown ?!

Many points are on the line today, depending on the AL East/Wildcard and the NL West/Wildcard races.

Full 1st round & playoff potential points scores will be posted here later tonight.

Huge day for me! The NL West / Wildcard results gave me two points, while the AL East / Wildcard results gave me one more and cost poor MM two points and many others lost a point when NY ended up as the AL Wildcard.

Anyway, here are the 1st round results & potential points ...

*** = 3 potential points still in play
** = 2 potential points still in play
* = 1 potential point still in play

BoA:Audio Division

Binnall - 4/8*
Rich Dolan - 3/8**
Loren Coleman - 2/8*
Jason Offutt - 2/8*
Paul Kimball - 1/8***
Adam Gorightly - 1/8*
Greg Bishop - 1/8

usofe Division

League Minimum - 3/8 **
Mystery Man - 2/8***
James Binnall - 2/8***
RSS - 1/8***
jboston - 1/8***
Primus - 1/8*
NotATameBob - 0/8

Overall Standings

Binnall - 4/8*
Rich Dolan - 3/8**
League Minimum - 3/8 **
Mystery Man - 2/8***
James Binnall - 2/8***
Loren Coleman - 2/8*
Jason Offutt - 2/8*
Paul Kimball - 1/8***
RSS - 1/8***
jboston - 1/8***
Adam Gorightly - 1/8*
Primus - 1/8*
Greg Bishop - 1/8
NotATameBob - 0/8

Commentary: Binnall, Dolan, and Coleman are still in contention to win BoA & overall title. In the usofe division, League Minimum, MM, and James Binnall are still in contention to win BoA & overall title. How the Phillies & Yankees fare will ultimately determine who wins it all. Despite that, I still think that we almost certainly will have to go to transposed picks to determine the ultimate champion.
