Not sure if you are familiar with the background on the roster changes, but David McLane had a falling out with the money backers and he quit GLOW and formed Powerful Women of Wrestling, which should be PWOW, but called it POWW.
Wikipedia says that it was a more serious style, focused on the wrestling, but I've heard that they did a lot of GLOW-esque cheesy stuff too.
Anyway, McLane brought a handful of the women from GLOW with him to POWW, including Ivory and a few others, like Matilda. That's why seasons 2 & 3 of GLOW featured knock-off versions of their original characters.
I think Mt. Fuji was the focus because her story was so compelling. She definitly seemed to be the Andre-esque babyface of the league and to see her now was heartbreaking.
Although I didn't follow GLOW when it was on the air, I'm stunned that WWF didn't sign a bunch of those women and that Ivory was the only one to make it to WWF and that was like 13 years after GLOW folded. Colonel Ninotchka would have been great in WWF as a manager of The Bolsheviks, for instance.
