I'll admit it, I've got Olympic fever. It felt like a rash at first, but then it turned into something magical.
And, perhaps the greatest Olympics news that I have heard yet ... per NBC's official Olympic website --
Fred Roggin will reprise his role as studio host of curling for his fourth consecutive Winter Olympics at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. Oh, fuck, yes.
Just checked the NBC TV schedule and it looks like curling is getting a more high profile spot this year. It appears that, generally speaking, you'll be able to see curling from 5 to 8 PM (ET) on CNBC.
There's also a decent share of late night curling, but it all starts at like 3 or 5 AM. So, Curling After Dark will return, but they've given it an awful slot. I much preferred the 11 PM or midnight spot they had it in during the last Olympics when it became my cult favorite sport (thanks in large part to Roggin's infectious personality).
Anyway, should be a fun Olympics provided no crazy Russian assholes blow anything up.
